We know how hard you work, how much time you invest into building up your home. Often starting with nothing but the clothes on your back, you gradually moved on up in your career, formed a family and bought your home.

Just some friendly advice from your broker, let us know before you begin the alterations to your home.
It’s a matter of disclosure to the insurer, that you will be renovating, adding on or knocking down things and moreover… that there will be contractors on site for a period of days, weeks or months. Unfortunately, theft often occurs during this time or other parts of the home can be damaged in error and the Insurers can reject claims for some damages or theft occurring whilst the home is undergoing the alterations unless you notify them beforehand.
They won’t decline to cover, but will advise their requirements for cover to be upheld during that period.
